Action needed on ballast water concerns

Shipowners and managers are looking for clear guidance on how to manage their ballast water. Each type of vessel will have different requirements for management of their ballast. A small shipboard treatment plant could suffice or the vessel at each docking could be filled with fresh water ballast and use their evaporators to top up what is required.
