DP: the importance of people and safe operating practices

As Joe Hughes, DP assurance lead at GL Noble Denton, told the Annual OSJ Conference earlier this year, the OSV market is commonly viewed, with some justification, to be at the lower end of the offshore oil and gas food chain. DP OSVs, in particular, are generally considered to provide the human feedstock for the more lucrative parts of the DP sector where the financial rewards, living and leave conditions, and the quality of life are generally much better, with the deepwater DP drilling sector ....
