Dedication to safety must always be perfect

Attending a passenger drill on Cruise & Maritime Voyages’ Marco Polo in Tilbury on 2 May I was struck by two things. The first was the crew’s high level of competence and the second was the attention paid by the passengers. In the past I have found these drills to be rather lacklustre affairs with passengers failing to turn up and often chatting their way through the proceedings.
