Europe trades contribute to Stolt loss

In the chemical tanker sector Stolt Tankers, based in The Netherlands, operates a fleet of 22 stainless steel tank vessels of up to 8,000 dwt in its inter-Europe services, with a mix of owned, bareboat, time chartered and managed tonnage. In the first quarter of 2012 weak volumes and revenue and higher operating costs contributed to Stolt Tankers’ overall operating loss of US$8.6 million.
