Kochi LNG nears completion

Kochi LNG, southern India’s first LNG import terminal, is rapidly taking shape in the port of the same name. The facility was initially envisaged as being able to handle 2.5 million tonnes per annum (mta) of LNG in its first phase. However, during the course of construction it was decided to boost that capacity to 5 mta, necessitating a delay in completing the terminal from the 2011 date originally envisaged.
