MSC Cruises takes over Libyan newbuild

MSC Cruises has signed a contract with STX France to take over the 139,400gt newbuilding originally under construction for GNMTC of Libya. The project represents a €550 million investment. Fourth in the Fantasia class, the vessel will be named MSC Preziosa and is scheduled for delivery in March 2013. The construction is 45 per cent complete and its mechanical zones are 70 per cent complete. Once delivered, the company will have four ships in each of its three classes, giving a total cap....
