Mitsui OSK expands LPG carrier fleet

Japan’s Mitsui OSK Lines is broadening its business of hauling liquefied petroleum gas under spot agreements, adding three shipping carriers to increase its designated fleet to 15 from 12. The three new carriers will each boast a capacity of around 83,000m3 and will be built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd and South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. They will begin their maiden voyages sometime between March and May. With the fleet expansion, Mitsui OSK is seeking to exploit ....
