Nato to use AIS for counter-piracy

ExactEarth has gained a contract from Nato to provide satellite AIS data for security and anti-piracy operations. The Nato Maritime Operation Centres in Northwood, UK, and Naples, Italy, and the Nato Shipping Centre (NSC) will be acquiring exactAIS data. The information will be used on Nato’s Ocean Shield counter-piracy operations in the Arabian Sea, Gulf of Aden and Somali Basin.
