New screen sizes could spell trouble for bridge consoles

Until now, widescreen displays have been manufactured at different aspect ratios, depending on their eventual target application: 16:9 for televisions and 16:10 for computer monitors. Notwithstanding, as the line between TVs and PCs is now blurring, manufacturers are seeking to phase out the 16:10 ratio, thus taking advantage of scale economies and improving production efficiency.
