New strategies evaluated for noise reduction

Two leading classification societies are taking different approaches to noise reduction Comfort levels achieved in terms of noise and vibration on cruise ships are now so good that they can sometimes lead to other problems, suggests one prominent classification society. “The lower the background noise is, the more intermittent noises become disturbing. Bureau Veritas (BV) considers that this could be the next possible subject of comfort improvement on passenger vessels,” says Stepha....
