America’s largest tanker owner, Overseas Shipholding Group (OSG) is maintaining its fleet modernisation programme, evidenced by its newbuilding schedule and occasional secondhand purchase. In the last few years OSG has kept alive the country’s last surviving shipyard for large merchant ship construction at Aker Philadelphia.
