OSVs help tackle Elgin gas leak

The spotlight was on offshore safety in the UK after Total Exploration & Production’s Elgin production platform was evacuated on 25 March due to a major gas leak. Questions were being asked as to whether Total was one spark away from disaster. The consensus is that it was a close call and it could take months to halt the gas leak.
