Sterntube seals can be repaired afloat

An email from a ship reporting a leaking sterntube seal is something every ship manager hopes to avoid. However, It is not necessary to go into dry dock to repair an EVK Stern Tube Seal. The seal design is one of the simplest and allows for straightforward installation and operation. The design does not wear the propeller shaft sleeve, and maintenance - including changing the seal - can be completed while the vessel is in the water.
