When Beluga Shipping’s Beluga Fraternity and Beluga Foresight (pictured) made a successful pioneering transit of the Northeast Passage last summer, the two vessels relied on the Iridium OpenPort broadband service for voice and data links throughout their voyage through the extreme northern waterways.
