Type B LNG containment from GD

General Dynamics’ NASSCO shipbuilding division has unveiled a new IMO Type B LNG containment system based on flat plate technology. The design has been conceived to provide an unobstructed tank space and, at the same time, overcome the issues associated with partial filling and cargo sloshing in membrane tanks. Braemar Technical Services is being lined up to market the technology under the terms of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) recently signed with NASSCO. The new containment system....
