Wärtsilä and TMH start Russian factory

A 50/50 joint venture between Wärtsilä and Transmashholding (TMH) of Russia is primed to start constructing a factory in Penza, Russia, ready for production operations in summer 2013. Wärtsilä TMH Diesel Engine Company was formed in May 2010 by the partners to manufacture modern and multipurpose diesel engines, including an advanced version of Wärtsilä’s established 200mm-bore W20 medium speed design.
