Clean Cats drive US tractor tug

Twin Cat 3512C HD high speed engines powering the Long Beach, California-based tractor tug John Quigg were due to complete a field study in May with the participation of operator Harley Marine Services. The US EPA Tier 3-compliant V12-cylinder propulsion engines – each rated for 1,678kW at 1,800 rpm – were installed in late 2011 to curbing NOx emissions in the Port of Los Angeles and Long Beach.
