Emergency rescue vessel evolved from earlier design

Grampian Don, the first of North Star’s quartet D-class ERRVs, will replace existing tonnage in the company’s 31-strong fleet, the largest, most modern, wholly-owned British fleet engaged in the UK offshore industry. The new ERRV is of the NSS-IMT 950s design developed by IMT of Montrose in the UK, and equipped with daughter craft and fast rescue craft.
