Ferry economics are still in tough part of cycle

Ferry owners can be forgiven for thinking that now is not a good time to be the business. We have seen the recent high profile demise of SeaFrance, along with Fastnet Line. Other operators such as Anek in Greece, Comarit and its subsidiary Comanav Ferry in Morocco, are reportedly struggling. Yards too are feeling the financial pinch, with German outfit JJ Sietas and Kraljevica in Croatia calling in the administrators.
