Gas injection engines in Japan

  Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Co Ltd (MES) is taking the development of its gas injection, slow speed diesel engine concept a stage further with the demonstration testing of a temporarily modified engine at its Tamano Works in the first half of 2013. MES is promoting the use of gas-fuelled, slow speed diesel engines for a range of vessel types, including LNG carriers.
