Green Investment Bank – a fund by any other name

Recent months have seen good news and not quite such good news for the offshore wind industry in the UK. The good news is that the report produced by the industry-led Offshore Wind Cost Reduction Task Force shows that the UK is on course to substantially reduce the cost of electricity from offshore wind over the next seven years. The not-so-good news is that the government’s proposals for the much heralded Green Investment Bank (GIB), mean that far from being a bank, the GIB will actually ....
