Largest LNG ferry to make smaller waves

Construction is well underway on what is set to be a groundbreaking new vessel, when Viking Line’s new liquefied natural gas (LNG)-fuelled passenger ferry is delivered to the Finnish operator in January 2013. The order was placed in December 2010 at STX Finland, and on 6 March this year the keel was laid at the builder’s Turku shipyard. The ship is expected to be launched in mid-August.
