New S90ME-C9.2 engine tests successful

MAN Diesel & Turbo has announced the successful test bed trials of its first super-long-stroke, 90cm bore Mark 9 engine (S90ME-C9.2) at Hyundai Heavy Industries’ Engine & Machinery division. The largest two-stroke engine ever designed by MAN Diesel & Turbo delivers a torque of 8.5 million Nm rpm and has a total output of 69,720kW.
