Leading system designers and suppliers make a convincing case for scrubbers in meeting the SOx emissions requirements dictated by IMO regulations entering force in 2015, and underline the looming urgency of deciding on such a solution or switching to low sulphur marine gas oil or LNG fuel. Ship operators could be forgiven, however, for any uncertainty in committing to a future fuel strategy addressing the 0.1 per cent sulphur limit.   Operators effectively have three choices if they wish ....
