Three manufacturers are vying for SSC programme

The forthcoming order for turbines for the US navy’s ship to shore connector (SSC) vessel has produced new candidate models from General Electric (GE38), Rolls-Royce (MT7) and Vericor (ETB40B). A decision on which model will be preferred is expected in the third quarter. General Electric introduced the GE38 last year.
