General Dynamics’ NASSCO shipbuilding division has unveiled a new IMO Type B LNG containment system based on flat plate technology. The design has been conceived to provide an unobstructed tank space and, at the same time, overcome the issues associated with partial filling and cargo sloshing in membrane tanks.
