Shiprepair - The NEW networking event
Click here for the London Shiprepair networking event review - April 2010
Background: Riviera Maritime Media Ltd is partnering with Alan Thorpe (A&A Thorpe), publisher of SRJ (Ship Repair Journal) and SRN (Ship Repair Newsletter) to bring this new networking and information event to the market.
Through industry feedback generated by direct consultation and a globally distributed questionnaire, it was apparent that there is a need and the time has come for a fresh shiprepair industry event based in the UK. 80 per cent of those asked agreed with this.
In direct response to our questions “what does the market want, what will attract shipowners and shipmanagers, and what will create a ‘meeting place’” the clear message was that the primary function of any new event should be social and networking, focused on delivering a unique opportunity for representatives of shipowners/managers to meet and network with shipyards/agents, specialised repair and maintenance companies, suppliers and service providers.
Knowledge capture and promotional opportunities are secondary but remain important elements of this launch event.
GLASGOW Shiprepair networking event, October 2010: To help us to develop the concept we are planning a series of networking events following on from the successful launch in London in April. Planned as informal late afternoon/evening gatherings, the next event in the series is planned for Glasgow in October and will:
• offer a unique informal setting for shipowners and managers to meet and network with shipyards, agents, specialised repair and maintenance companies, suppliers and service providers
• provide an excellent opportunity to get feedback from key stakeholders on the development of the new Shiprepair event.
• launch some exciting new developments to benefit shipowners, operators and managers including training, professional development and industry representation for ship superintendents
• provide unrivalled promotional opportunities for leading shiprepair sector companies to become 'Founding Sponsors' and reach many senior industry representatives in one place, at one time.
Shiprepair is free to attend. By Invitation Only. If you wish to be considered for an invitation to attend, please register your interest above. Further event details to be announced shortly
