Riviera Maritime Media Ltd is run by John Labdon, Managing Director, and Tony Wilson, Editorial Director.
John Labdon has over 30 years’ experience in the marine business, having joined Shipping World & Shipbuilder in 1970 as advertisement sales representative. John is one of the most familiar faces in the maritime publishing business, and his name is one of the most respected.
Tony Wilson was a deck officer in the merchant navy, and sailed on general cargo ships, reefers, bulk carriers, tankers, and ferries. He came ashore after gaining his Master Mariner’s certificate, joined The Motor Ship in 1986 as technical reporter, and trained as a journalist. Tony Wilson was founding editor of Speed at Sea, and over the past 20 years his freelance activities have included acting as editorial consultant to major marine companies including MacGregor, Hamworthy, and Rolls-Royce Marine.
