Riviera Maritime Media’s latest journal is being published in response to widespread industry requests for a specialist journal that not only focuses on container shipping but also focuses on technical aspects of the container ship fleet. As the industry strives to meet pressing economic and environmental demands technical features of ships and the wider container supply chain have become key for its future sustainability. Published quarterly, Container Shipping & Trade will provide readers with the missing detailed information on the latest innovations and thinking on how to make container ships more efficient and environmentally friendly. This will be presented in the context of the overall development of global container shipping trade and markets.

LNG World Shipping’s coverage of the global LNG shipping industry is the best there is. The journal follows the full length of the LNG maritime transport chain, from offshore developments at the upstream end, through conventional LNG carriers and terminals, to small-scale LNG at the consumer end. Six issues are published each year, containing news and statistics, in-depth profiles and views from a range of leading industry players. LNG World Shipping subscribers also receive two Offshore LNG supplements, the new LNG Carrier Lifecycle Maintenance supplement, and now also the annual LPG World Shipping supplement, which was previously published as a yearbook.

Since its launch in 2007 Marine Electronics & Communications has described and analysed advances in electronics and communications, and established itself as an authoritative voice in this maritime sector. The journal has proved popular with information communication technology (ICT) personnel in shipowners’, operators’ and managers’ technical departments for the quality of information it provides. We shall build on this during 2012 by adding new features and expanding the number of editorial pages. With topical discussions focusing on ECDIS, BNWAS, VSAT, and satcoms on board modern ships, these are exciting and busy times for Marine Electronics & Communications.

Marine Propulsion & Auxiliary Machinery has reported on ships’ engineering systems for 32 years. Riviera bought the journal in 2003, recognising that relaunching Marine Propulsion with the right editor and high quality content would create the best journal of its kind in the world. Under the editorship of Doug Woodyard, Marine Propulsion earned the respect that has made it such a trusted source of information, and the authoritative voice in marine engineering. As well as Marine Propulsion, subscribers also receive the Worldwide Turbocharger Guide and Ballast Water Treatment Technology, and a new supplement on future fuels and lubricants, which is being distributed in Autumn 2012.

Offshore Support Journal is the only publication focusing exclusively on the technology used in the offshore support vessel industry. Offshore Support Journal has built up a substantial following during the past 14 years by providing the most comprehensive coverage of the vessels that support the offshore oil, gas and renewables industries, including their design, technology, equipment and operation. In order to keep pace with its ever-growing coverage the journal is now going to be published 10 times a year. In 2012 Offshore Support Journal it will be published monthly, apart from the mid-summer and mid-winter issues (January/February and July/August).

Offshore Wind Journal (OWJ) is the leading global publication for the offshore windfarm market and the offshore wind supply chain. With unrivalled knowledge and contacts, Offshore Wind Journal delivers authoritative commentary on the global offshore wind industry. Delivering in-depth content from around the world to people who decide how and where windfarms are developed and how they are built and maintained, the journal covers developments in all aspects of the offshore windfarm industry, including policy, utilities, finance and insurance, turbines and foundations, construction and maintenance, cable lay, offshore operations, vessels and equipment. Riviera Maritime Media continues to invest in Passenger Ship Technology, which specialises in technical coverage of cruise ships and ferries of all types, operating anywhere in the world. Passenger Ship Technology concentrates exclusively on the technology used in the passenger ship industry. It focuses on ships, and not their destinations. Port coverage is limited to technology such as mooring; shore power; vehicle, passenger and luggage handling systems; and provisions stores and waste logistics. Once again Passenger Ship Technology will be published quarterly, in a handy travel size designed to suit subscribers who catch up with their reading while on the move.

Tanker Shipping & Trade is written for tanker professionals throughout the world and covers all of the essential elements at the heart of successful tanker management and operations. Since its launch in 2007 we have listened to feedback from readers and advertisers and invested in publishing more editorial pages to include greater in-depth coverage of key topics. We are adding even more editorial pages in 2012. Building on its status as both the leading and fastest growing journal in its niche, Tanker Shipping & Trade is now accompanied by an annual supplement providing an in depth analysis of the Aegean region and we intend to continue developing this title in the years ahead.
