Ferry operators considering new tonnage need to assess all of the options available before choosing the most suitable vessel for their needs. In the same way that fast ferries are now accepted as part of the mainstream ferry industry, Speed at Sea has been integrated into a new publication with a broader editorial responsibility: Ferry Technology.
For nine years Speed at Sea has been a highly respected source of technical information on high speed ferries. We have documented the development of their design, propulsion systems, electronics and other equipment. There is a clear need to extend this type of technical coverage to the complete range of ferry types.
Ferry Technology therefore covers all technical aspects of the worldwide ferry industries, including the design, construction, outfitting, operation and maintenance of small domestic ferries, High Speed Craft code-compliant ferries, and so-called conventional Solas ferries.
