Since its launch in 2007 Marine Electronics & Communications has described and analysed advances in electronics and communications, and established itself as an authoritative voice in this maritime sector. The journal has proved popular with information communication technology personnel in shipowners’, operators’ and managers’ technical departments for the quality of information it provides. We shall build on this during 2012 by adding new features and expanding the number of editorial pages, allowing us to increase the depth of certain key features.
With topical discussions focusing on ecdis, BNWAS, VSAT, and satcoms on board modern ships, and the uptake of fleet management software and communications between ship and shore, these are exciting and busy times for Marine Electronics & Communications.
In 2012 we are publishing the third annual issue of the popular supplement A Complete Guide to ECDIS, and are considering other subjects to treat in this way.

Riviera aims to produce journals that are simply the best of their kind,
making accurate, comprehensive and up-to-date maritime technical
information accessible to readers without enough time to study all the
literature available, and who need a trusted source that they can rely
on. Riviera conferences, workshops and hosted buyers’ programmes
extend the communication of high quality maritime information to
live events, and LinkedIn groups broaden networking opportunities in
discussions online.
Joining the Marine Electronics & Communications networking
and discussion forum means that you can keep up to date with
developments in your maritime industry sector, and share your
concerns and interests with other members.
