The final turbine for EnBW’s Albatros offshore windfarm in the North Sea was installed earlier this month.
EnBW is building two large windfarms in the North Sea with a total installed capacity of 609 MW: Hohe See, which has 71 turbines and the adjacent Albatros windfarm, which has 16 turbines.
Together they are the largest offshore wind projects under construction in Germany.
First power was produced by Hohe See in July 2019. The turbines for the project were installed by the vessels Brave Tern and Blue Tern.
EnBW said the turbines will be commissioned “in the coming weeks.” By the end of 2019, both windfarms are expected to be in operation.
