TFG Marine, the marine fuels joint venture between Trafigura and John Fredriksen-owned Frontline and Golden Ocean, has appointed Anders Grønborg as its new chief executive
Mr Grønborg, who joins TFG Marine this month, will oversee the company’s ongoing expansion in the global marine fuels market. He brings more than 30 years experience in marine fuels including five years with Chemoil and 27 years with World Fuel Services.
He joined TFG Marine as chief executive this month to oversee the company’s ongoing expansion efforts in the global marine fuel markets. Mr Grønborg previously worked with Chemoil Corporation in its European sales and marketing team in Copenhagen and later joined Trans-Tec Services in London, which became World Fuel Services in 1995 where he was global head of marine fuel supplies between 2015 until his departure in late 2018.
This follows other developments for Fredriksen-owned companies in recent weeks. Geveran Trading Co Limited has acquired a significant stake in publicly-traded LNG shipowner Flex LNG and Frontline revealed the cost of damage to its LR2 Front Altair which suffered an explosion when traversing the Strait of Hormuz in 2019.
