US-based OSV owner Seacor Marine Holdings has announced that Robert Clemons has stepped down as executive vice president and chief operating officer, effective 12 July 2019
Seacor Marine did not name a replacement to Mr Clemons as chief operating officer (COO) and has no current plans to fill the position.
Mr Clemons will provide consulting services to Seacor Marine following his departure to assist the company with the transition of his duties, according to a press statement.
He joined Seacor Marine as executive vice president and COO in June 2017 and was previously the vice president and COO of Seacor Holdings Inc’s Americas offshore division.
Seacor Marine president and chief executive John Gellert said, “On behalf of the entire organisation, I thank Robert for his contributions over many years of service to the Seacor organisation. Robert has been a valued leader, is a first-class individual and we wish him every success in the future.
"Optimising our executive team is part of an ongoing process to shape our organisation and overhead costs to fit the evolving profile of our fleet, our operating activities, and the opportunities available to us”.
