French ferry operator Corsica Linea is converting existing computerised maintenance management software (CMMS) and procurement systems to the Sertica fleet management software, supplied by Danish software provider Logimatic
The company is simplifying its technical management by using one software to ensure high data quality to improve performance.
Corsica Linea project manager Jean-David Paoli said “We take fleet management to the next level having a modern tool for both maintenance and procurement. Everything is centralised, which saves us a lot of time and work. It also makes it easier for us to add new vessels to our fleet in the future.”
By converting all systems to Sertica, fleet management is aligned with maintenance data to help Corisca Linea manage maintenance jobs centrally. During the implementation, Corsica Linea will also discuss the processes and system with the crew.
Mr Paoli added, “The crew managed to use the system even before they completed the training. I believe this is a clear sign of a user-friendly and intuitive system.”
Corisca Linea project manager Pierre-Laurent Richaud added that Sertica will help the operator track and trace maintenance and procurement in the same system.
“We have had to change some internal processes to fit the system, but it actually turns out to be an advantage for us, because it increases consistency and alignment across the vessels” he said.
Corsica Linea operates eight vessels, two ferries and six mixed freighters.
