Working in close collaboration with Norwind Offshore, Navigare Capital Partners has signed a contract with Vard for the design and construction of a commissioning service operation vessel (CSOV)
The newbuild will be the sixth CSOV Vard delivers to Norwind Offshore, in which Denmark-based Navigare Capital is an investor since October 2021, in addition to an energy construction vessel and the conversion of a platform supply vessel to a service operation vessel.
Delivery of the new CSOV is scheduled for Q2 2027. The vessel will be constructed, commissioned and delivered by Vard Vung Tau in Vietnam. In addition to the contract, the parties have also agreed on two new options, the first to be declared later this year, the second in 2025.
The Vard 4 19 ordered by Navigare Capital Partners for Norwind Offshore is a versatile platform for the support of offshore windfarms. The 85-m vessel will have a beam of 19.5 m and be equipped with a height-adjustable motion-compensated gangway featuring an elevator. The vessel will also have a 3-D crane, and a height-adjustable boat landing system. It will be fitted with an advanced battery solution.
The new vessel will have a range of equipment from Vard group companies, including Vard Electro’s SeaQ integrated bridge, SeaQ Green Pilot, SeaQ integrated alarm system, power management system and energy management system.
Seaonics will provide an all-electric lift and handling package for the vessel, including an ECMC 30-m walk-to-work gangway and a 7-tonne 3-D motion compensated crane.
