Owners of offshore support vessels can gain greater insight into the performance and condition of onboard cranes after a new digital platform was unveiled
Huisman has introduced a data-driven method of obtaining insights into the performance of its cranes and other deck machinery installed on support vessels, to extend the life of equipment and enhance operational efficiency.
This application, accessible via the client portal myHuisman, analyses equipment data to provide actionable insights to vessel owners and operators. Information on equipment performance and condition, energy consumption and component usage is provided, and alarms and warnings sound to alert crew to the need for immediate action.
Huisman said this information can be used to maximise operational uptime, improve maintenance scheduling and cycle times, and streamline project efficiency. This platform supports proactive fault resolution, minimises operations being interrupted, extends the life of components and reduces operational costs.
