Singapore is the latest of a series of planned service locations for Ecochlor parts and spares
Following his hire by the US-based ballast water treatment system provider in June 2020, Ecochlor’s vice president of global service Michael Madely has revealed the first of many planned locations for Ecochlor’s spare parts support network outside the United States.
The Asian maritime hub of Singapore has been chosen as the new location. Mr Madely said, “Having an inventory of spare parts located in Singapore will provide a faster response time to all vessels in Asia with our system on board.”
Ecochlor has shipped more than US$117,000 in spare parts to Singapore to better support clients in Asia during installations and service calls for their vessel’s ballast water management system.
Looking ahead, Ecochlor is on a mission to establish spare parts and servicing locations at the major maritime hubs. It sees strong after-sale service support programmes as a big factor in the company’s continued growth.
“Our goal is to have parts located in the three main time zones – Asia, Europe and the USA – in an effort to provide real-time response to our customers’ requirements for maximum system operation with minimum downtime,” said Mr Madely.
In other news, the Ecochlor ballast water treatment system has just been granted IMO revised G8 type-approval.
