Eidesvik Offshore, Simon Møkster Shipping secure new frame agreements with Aker BP

The frame agreement agreed between Eidesvik and Aker BP has a duration of four years, with the option of two additional periods, each of two years.

The deal continues collaboration between the two companies that was first established in 2019.

Under the new frame agreement, Eidesvik has been awarded a three-year firm contract with further options for the PSV Viking Prince. The contract will commence in direct continuation of the vessel’s current contract.

Eidesvik chief executive Helga Cotgrove said, “We are very pleased to continue our close collaboration with Aker BP.

“The new frame agreement builds on several years of consistent, safe and high-quality performance from both crew and vessels. It is in line with our strategy to secure long-term backlog with strong counterparties. Doing so builds shareholder value.”

Under the new agreement with Simon Møkster Shipping, Aker BP will call off vessels from the Møkster fleet to cover its requirements.

The agreement also has a duration of four years plus two, two-year options. 

The vessel owner noted that, in addition to the provision of PSVs, the agreement includes provision for improved vessel operations and reduction of emissions.
