Enshore Advantage taking shape at Holland Shipyards

Construction of the barge is on schedule, with the first half of the vessel now fully assembled and welded, and fabrication is underway on the second half. Sections of the barge has also recently relocated sections into the paint facility at the yard.

“Enshore Advantage is being built for the places other vessels can’t reach,” said the company, “shallow draft, nearshore capable, with an integrated cable-lay spread handling four-cable HVDC bundles.”

A dedicated mooring system and spud arrangement will provide secure positioning when in operation, and an optional accommodation module can be deployed to reduce crew transfers and enhance operational efficiency offshore.

“Enshore Advantage has been developed to meet the specific challenges of shallow and environmentally sensitive waters,” said Enshore Subsea.

“The barge offers extremely shallow draft capability, enabling it to approach very close to shore and, where required, safely ground out to support nearshore cable installation activities.”

Enshore Advantage’s first deployment will be supporting Nexans in the Wadden Sea.
