GEV Wind Power expands into Taiwanese offshore wind market

The Yorkshire-based company said the launch of the new division in Taichung will strengthen GEV’s position in the Asia Pacific region.

GEV Wind Power has been active in the offshore wind sector in the region for more than a decade. It said the new office “is a significant investment by the business, highlighting the demand for further development and a greater local presence to support clients in the wind energy sector.”

GEV Group chief executive David Fletcher said, “Our expansion into Taiwan reflects our commitment to supporting the energy transition across the Asia Pacific region.

“It strengthens our ability to mobilise resources swiftly and effectively while maintaining industry-leading standards in technical capability, safety culture, and operational reliability.”

Operations in Taiwan will be led by head of Taiwan operations, Emma Mason.

With the addition of its Taiwan operations, GEV now operates a fully integrated global service network spanning the UK, Europe, Australia, North America and the Asia Pacific region.
