Ørsted has awarded HBC Group a further contract to conduct subsea inspection campaigns. This is the fifth successive year the company has been awarded work by the offshore wind developer
Under the contract, HBC Group will carry out inspection campaigns at 10 of Ørsted’s offshore windfarms on the UK east and west coast and in the German North Sea.
HBC Group is to undertake the project utilising its vessel HBC Achiever. The work will be performed with a combination of remotely operated vehicles and diving operations.
In the last four years, HBC Group has inspected 335 foundations and 26 substations for the leading windfarm developer. This includes monopiles, jackets, suction bucket jackets and gravity-based concrete structures.
The companies have previously co-operated on a number of successful offshore wind projects.
HBC Group is based in Denmark and in the UK and provides a range of support services including windfarm support, underwater and topside engineering, inspection and services.
