Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy has received a firm order from innogy ES to supply the offshore wind turbines for the Kaskasi offshore windfarm
The Kaskasi windfarm is located 35 km north of the island of Heligoland in the German North Sea. The windfarm will have a total capacity of 342 MW.
The contract encompasses the supply of 38 SG 8.0-167 DD Flex turbines and a two-year service and maintenance contract.
Installation of the turbines is expected to start in July 2022.
The windfarm will use the same grid connection as innogy’s Nordsee Ost windfarm. Construction and operation of Kaskasi is therefore expected to benefit from synergies in operation and maintenance with Nordsee Ost.
