The Danish Energy Agency (DEA) has received eight applications for prequalification to participate in the tender for Denmark’s largest offshore windfarm, Krieger’s Flak, which will have an installed capacity of 600MW. This is the largest number of applicants for a windfarm tender in the history of the Danish wind industry.
The DEA will now examine whether the applications meet the economic, financial and technical minimum criteria in the contract notice of 6 May 2015. Pending the outcome, it will inform applicants and publish the names of the candidates who are pre-qualified to participate in the next phase of the project. The tender for the Krieger’s Flak will take more than a year. Final, binding offers must be submitted on 8 November 2016.
