AP Moller-Maersk has unveiled a new digital platform for supply chain management
Maersk Flow manages complex supply chains and provides control to companies looking to command their supply chains from factory to market.
AP Moller-Maersk global head of supply chain management and e-commerce logistics Martin Holme said this platform was designed to improve efficiency throughout these chains. “Maersk Flow will allow our customers to significantly improve their supply chain performance with less time and effort,” he said. “This lets them focus more resources on their core business and achieve happier customers and higher sales growth.”
Maersk Flow facilitates transparent supply chain processes and aids the flow of goods and documents, reducing manual work and errors, while providing current and historical data to logistics professionals to sustainably improve their supply chains.
This comes as daily life of small- and medium-sized businesses is increasingly global, complex and fast-paced with thousands of products moving through supply chains on multiple carriers, coming from and reaching many supply chain partners and customers.
Many companies manage workloads manually via spreadsheets, emails and phone calls which can lead to reduced visibility and control, and ultimately higher costs or lost sales. Maersk Flow can help these companies to take control of their supply chains.
