Smart water quality monitoring technology developers Rivertrace Limited have established a new, web-based calibration portal to ensure transparency in water monitoring equipment compliance and inspection paperwork
Hosted on the Amazon Web Services cloud, the portal allows staff, customers, OEMs and agents to access information relating to Rivertrace monitoring products, including calibration forms, product manuals and certification.
Once registered, a user can enter the IMO number of any vessel with Rivertrace monitoring equipment on board and track its movement and the arrival time of its next port call to facilitate appointments with agents to carry out calibration checks, according to Rivertrace.
Rivertrace operations director Martin Saunders said “This is an important step in our ongoing digital offering to our customers. As a company, we are embracing the digital transformation and we want to pass on the benefits to our global customer base. This platform will allow us to explore further advantages to our customers and make accessing information simple and intuitive.”
The digitalised system sends email reminders to both Rivertrace and its monitoring equipment users to alert them when recalibration checks are due. API (application programming interface) integrations enable automated transactions and ensure accurate, valid information is easy to find with all parts, customer information and serial numbers integrated with Rivertrace’s manufacturing resources planning system.
Rivertrace’s free-to-access digital portal is designed for use on both desktop and mobile browsers and was developed in conjunction with Rivertrace partner Intellore.
