Sabine Weth is to join Swire Energy Services (SES) as vice president of offshore wind, a new position for the organisation and a shift in the long-term focus for SES. She will also form part of the executive management team for the global business
Ms Weth joins SES from Kongstein, where she held the position of country manager for Norway.
A materials engineer with her masters from RWTH Aachen in Germany, she has more than 11 years of experience working in offshore wind and renewable energy, holding positions as head of operations offshore wind with EWE Offshore Service & Solutions and senior commercial asset manager at Northland Power.
Commenting on her appointment, Ms Weth said, “I am delighted to be heading up the new Swire Energy Services Offshore Wind division at this important stage of the organisation’s development. I am confident that with SES’s commitment and long-term view we will be able to create an offering that is unique to the market and one that will help my team and I deliver SES’s vision of being the easiest company to work with.”
The new offshore wind division of the company will focus on delivering integrated service solutions including inspection and maintenance packages to support the entire lifecycle of offshore wind assets.
