Northern Offshore Services is to take day to day control of Fred Olsen Windcarrier’s crew transfer vessels, enabling the latter to concentrate on turbine installation and O&M.
The company has signed a co-operation agreement with Fred Olsen Windcarrier that will see the latter’s fleet of crew transfer vessels integrated into Northern Offshore Services’ management and organisation.
“Northern Offshore Services is a reputable, competent and highly experienced crew transfer vessel owner and operator with a varied fleet of modern vessels. Together with the Bayard vessels and the competence and experience of Fred Olsen Windcarrier, the co-operation will further develop the service offered to the clients and allow Fred Olsen Windcarrier to focus our resources and investments into installation of offshore wind turbines and O&M,” said the chief executive of Fred Olsen Windcarrier, Even Larsen.
Northern Offshore Services’ chief executive Rasmus Johansson said he was excited by the implications of the agreement, which, he said fitted in well with the company’s strategy to continue expansion in the offshore wind sector.
The agreement is effective immediately for commercial management and for operational management from 1 March 2018.
