NSSLGlobal has opened its latest European hub in the Netherlands to provide NavCom and VSAT maritime broadband business and engineering expertise to northern European clients
The expansion follows a recent restructuring and enlarging of NSSLGlobal’s Global Service Engineering Division, highlighting the company’s ongoing focus to better serve the needs of its commercial maritime clients.
NSSLGlobal said the maritime sector’s demand for service work and parts supply is increasing with the ship repair and maintenance services market expected to reach US$44Bn by 2031. Last year, the company launched Smart@Sea, an onboard management system that allows for operational control over connectivity networks.
The premises in the Netherlands will feature a workshop test facility and a maritime NavCom equipment warehouse to allow NSSLGlobal service engineers to assist customers in the region with increased speed and ease.
“From this new office, we can deliver a local targeted engineering service to our regional clients, particularly in the Netherlands, which is a key country in the world’s maritime shipping industry,” said NSSLGlobal chief executive for Continental Europe Henrik Christensen.
Located 22 km east of Groningen, in Scheemda about half a kilometre from a major east/west motorway trunk road, the new office provides access to the ports of Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Antwerp, and is accessible from the German seaports of Emden, Bremerhaven, Hamburg and Rostock.
