NYK’s first Japanese-built CTV handed over

The ceremony took place at Kosaba Shipbuilding Co Ltd in Kamaishi City, Iwate Prefecture.

Once in service, the crew transfer vessel will transport windfarm technicians to and from offshore windfarms in Japanese waters.

The vessel is a modified version of a design operated by Northern Offshore Services, that meets Japanese requirements. 

Aluminium used in the construction of the vessel was sourced from Japanese manufacturers.
